Here, she took responsibility in the postion of the faculty`s vice dean for research and international affairs since 2016. Between 2017 and 2020 she was dean of the faculty.
Simone`s reserach focuses on mathematics education in primary and pre-primary, with a special interest in geometry (geometrical concept knowledge and spatial abilities) resp. linking aritmetic competencies and spatial abilities in (early) mathematics learning. Teaching and reasearch of her team additionally deals with the professional expertise of (prospective) teachers in primary school (incl. students with special needs).
