In this project, we want to find out how teachers use support strategies in primary science classrooms and how these strategies relate to student participation and learning.
The interaction between teachers and students plays a crucial role in learning processes. In particular, the active participation of students in class discussions can have a positive effect on learning progress. Likewise, the use of support strategies by teachers should be conducive to learning.
In this project we want to investigate the relationship between participation and support strategies and children's learning progress. We also want to find out whether teachers use support strategies adaptively and thus adjust them to the learning level of the students.
In our project we use video recordings and data from a previous study, which are now being re-analyzed.
